Q: What are the Body Wrap options?

European Body Wrap – Our European Body wrap is a cleansing and detoxification process that removes toxins which prevent weight and inch loss. Most see an inch loss of 8 to 12 inches in their very first visit! Best of all, it tightens and firms the skin, reduces stretch marks and eliminates cellulite. The Body Wrapping process involves wrapping the body with elastic wraps which have been soaked in a special mineral solution. The wraps are applied firmly to the areas needing inch loss and lightly to areas where only skin tightening is desired.

Infrared Body Wrap –This wrap burns up to 1200 calories in just one hour – without exercise! Our infrared heat system will help you lose weight quickly and safely. Melt the fat away!

Q: How do these types of Body Wraps work?

European Body Wrap – The body wrap assists in shrinking the adipose tissue of fat called cellulite, found directly below the skin’s surface. This process breaks down the toxins from your body and draws them out, therefore releasing the fat and eliminating cellulite. Unlike body wraps that create inch loss primarily through dehydration, our solution will actually hydrate and detoxify you with vital targeted minerals. Dehydrating wraps often use saran wrap or some form of plastic wrap in the body sculpting process. Those materials cause fluid loss and those inches will return immediately. We use porous bandages which permit the skin to breathe. The slimming and tightening that occurs is a result of the targeted minerals, not water loss.

Infrared Body Wrap – The Infrared body wrap works because the core temperature of our body is 37 degrees Celsius and constantly reduces toward the outside. Consequently, the outer areas of the body tend to be around 10 degrees Celsius colder and this is where excess fat is typically deposited. In order to achieve body toning, it is necessary to undergo sustained cardiovascular exercise for a minimum of 30 minutes, 3 to 4 times per week. During exercise, the body temperature rises and sweat is generated as the body attempts to cool itself. At the same time, the heart works harder pumping blood at a greater rate to boost circulation. Heart rate, cardiac output and metabolic rate increase, while diastolic blood pressure drops, improving overall cardiovascular fitness and burning off fat deposits.

A moderately conditioned person can easily sweat of 500 grams in a traditional sauna, consuming nearly 300 kcal-the equivalent of running two to three miles. A heat conditioned person can easily sweat off 600 to 800 kcal with no adverse effects. While the weight of water lost can be regained by rehydration, the calories consumed will not be. The implications are that Far Infrared heat applied directly to the body will allow between 970-1460 kcal to be sweated off in a 50 minute session.*

Q: What do I wear for a wrap?
For the European – Women are wrapped in their bra and panties. Men wear swim trunks. Cotton works best as it will absorb the solution and you will get results in the areas that are covered. Be sure to bring a dry pair as these will get wet. Once you are wrapped we will put you in a vinyl sauna suit to keep in the moisture and the heat. This is all done in complete privacy, of course.

For the Infrared heat wrap – Women and Men wear 100 percent cotton clothing. (We have a full supply at the salon if you would like to wear ours). You are then put in a disposable jumpsuit to keep in all the moisture.

Q: Do I need to do anything special before or after the visit?
Start your appointment with clean exfoliated skin, no lotions, oils or perfumes. We recommend that you avoid alcohol consumption before and after your wrap, and that you do not come to your appointment immediately following a full meal.

For the European – After the wrap, we recommend that you do not shower for several hours. There is no odor or visible residue from the wrap and you will be able to safely return to your daily activities. Leaving the solution on your skin will cause a small, additional inch loss and tightening. For best results, we recommended drinking at least two quarts of water in the first 24 hours to flush additional toxins from your body.

For the Infrared – You can shower immediately or follow with a European body wrap to get even better results!

Q: How many wraps will I need?
The number of wraps is determined by what your goals are and how your body responds to the wraps.

For the European – To visibly reduce specific body areas or cellulite, or to maximize inch loss, you should schedule a wrap once or twice a week, until your objectives are met.

For the Infrared – Since you are burning calories and increasing your metabolic rate, this wrap will speed up your weight loss. Basically, the more you do, the more weight you will lose. They can be done as often as every other day and will be of most value with a balanced exercise and eating program.

Q: How long will the results last with the European wrap? 
Results will last as long as you don’t gain weight. We recommend one wrap every 8 weeks, once you’ve reached your goals. This will help prevent cellulite from creeping back on.

Q: Is it true that the European wrap will make my skin will look younger?
Yes! Aging is accelerated by the accumulation of metabolic wastes and environmental poisons, which cause lack of energy, wrinkles, cellulite and crepe skin. Looking younger is possible by simply freeing the body of this lifelong buildup. While you are visually slimming your body, and toning your skin with a body wrap, you are also removing years from you apparent age.
